Welcome to Powell’s Valley Water District and Sewer Division

 

The Powell’s Valley Water District was established in 1967.  The Powell’s Valley Water District Sewer Division was established in 2003.  The Powell’s Valley Water District and Sewer Division is governed by three Commissioners.  The Commissioners are appointed by the Powell County Fiscal Court.

The Powell’s Valley Water District services rural customers in Estill, Powell and Montgomery Counties.  The Powell’s Valley Water District Sewer Division services rural customers in the Slade and Natural Bridge Road areas of Powell County.  The sewer has a mandatory connection under Ordinance   NO. 99-03-12A.

The Powell’s Valley Water District and Sewer Division accepts payments at our office location 31 Adams Ridge Road.  If paying before or after business hours attach your remit to stub showing your account name and account number with your payment (checks and money order’s only) and use our drop box located on the side of our building at the drive thru window.  If paying by mail, please mail payments with your remit to stub to Powell’s Valley Water District P.O. Box 550, Clay City Kentucky 40312.  Or pay online using our website.  A convenience fee will apply to each transaction.

** PSC Lifts Moratorium on Utility Disconnection Effective October 20, 2020 **

Due to PSC’s modification of March Covid-19 order reference Case No. 202-00085, Powell’s Valley Water District will resume disconnections due to non-payment of bills 8:00 a.m., October 20, 2020.  Customers needing to make payment arrangements on their arrear balances must contact the office prior to this time.  Late Charges will go into effect January, 2021.  The office can be reached at 606-663-5870.  Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. PVWD is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Provider.
